CMES LNG Shipping Company Limited (CMLNG), founded in 2022, is a specialized LNG shipping management company under CMES. It has established extensive, mutually beneficial relationships with major domestic and international energy companies, renowned LNG shipowners, and leading LNG shipbuilding enterprises, offering safe, high-quality, economical, and efficient energy transportation solutions to global clients. Since its inception, the company has invested in multiple new LNG transportation projects through its parent company. As of the end of June, 2024, CMLNG had confirmed investment in 28 new LNG carriers and plans to continue investing in large-scale energy transportation projects to become a world-class LNG shipowner company.

China LNG Shipping (Holdings) Limited (CLNG), registered in Hong Kong in 2004, is a specialized LNG shipping company within the China Merchants' shipping business segment. It is also a 50-50 joint venture between CMES Shipping and COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation Co., Ltd., and the first Chinese company specializing in LNG maritime transportation projects, including research, ship investment, construction supervision and management. It led China's first LNG pilot project, the Guangdong LNG import project, and subsequent projects in Fujian and Shanghai, involving 6 LNG carriers. CLNG also invested in 4 LNG carriers for the Queensland project in Australia, 11 ice-class LNG carriers for the Yamal project in the Russian Arctic, 1 LNG carrier for the Shenzhen project, and 12 LNG carriers for the Qatar Phase I project, gaining extensive international LNG maritime shipping experience.
