12 October 2022 - Xie Chunlin, Chairman of CMES Shipping met with Alex Gregg-Smith, Marine & Offshore Country Chief Executive, China, Bureau Veritas (BV). 

In his welcome address, Chairman Xie outlined CMES Shipping's history, its fleet, and its progress and requirements for new technologies and the reduction on the emission of greenhouse gases. He praised the achievements of Bureau Veritas in ship energy conservation and emission reduction and technological innovation, LNG transportation, shipbuilding services, and expected both sides to cooperate in a wider range of areas.

Alex Gregg-Smith said that Bureau Veritas is conducting extensive researches on LNG carriers, new and alternative ship energy sources, and the road maps for emission reduction, hoping that both sides would strengthen communication to provide ship owners with more services in carbon reduction and technological innovation.
