13 October 2022 – Xie Chunlin, Chairman of CMES Shipping, visited Lu Zongjun, Chairman of Zhonggu Shipping. The two sides reviewed their cooperation history and explored the possibility of stepping up cooperation.

Mr Xie congratulated Mr Lu on Zhonggu's office relocation and talked about China Merchants shipping's development. He said that 2022 coincides with the 150th anniversary of the founding of China Merchants and CMES Shipping will remain committed to green shipping, hoping to exchange information and strengthen cooperation with Zhonggu to contribute to China's initiative to build a transportation powerhouse.

Mr Lu hoped to promote efficiency by introducing environmentally friendly green shipping technology in Zhonggu, and facilitate trades amid China's advocation of "dual circulation". He hoped that the two sides would strengthen communication and exchange and work together for a win-win situation.
