8 March 2023 - Xie Chunlin, Chairman of CMES Shipping, met with Lyu Zhiyong, President of Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI), in Shenzhen. 

Xie Chunlin expressed his gratitude to SDARI for its generous support. He pointed out that CMES Shipping has been committed to promoting sustainable and healthy development of China's shipping industry. He hoped that the two sides can utilize China's Intelligent Ship Innovation Alliance, Green Ship Technology Innovation Consortium, and other platforms to explore in-depth cooperation, and promote green and intelligent shipping in the future.

Lyu Zhiyong thanked CMES Shipping for its long-term support to SDARI, and introduced its latest ship types as well as the R&D achievements regarding the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by ships. He also briefed about the technology development possibilities in the future, hoping that the two sides can strengthen cooperation in the field of green innovation including building up the intelligent shipping sector.

In addition, the two sides analyzed and sum up the projects they worked together, and exchanged views on how to optimize the design of mainstream ship types, as well as to upgrade and iterate intelligent ships. The two sides stated that they will work with each other more closely, so as to contribute to the green, intelligent transformation of the shipping industry.
