23 March 2023 - Wang Yongxin, President of CMES, met with Zhang Jieshu, Secretary General of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI), in Shenzhen. Both parties made discussions and exchanges on cooperation and development. The event was joined by Xu Kai, Chief Information Officer of SISI, Lu Weiling, Director of the Council Member Service Department and the International Cooperation Department of SISI, Qu Baozhi, Deputy Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation of CMG, Huang Maosheng, Deputy General Manager of CMES, and Ding Jun, Chief Digital Officer and Chief Director of Information Technology of CMES.

Mr Wang Yongxin welcomed Ms Zhang Jieshu and other delegates. He proposed that both parties could conduct an in-depth research on the pattern of industrial chain and ecological chain starting from the four market trends of greening, digitalisation, projectisation and financialisation, to increase the speed of response to customers and the sensitivity to external markets. He hoped that both parties would further exert the linkage advantages, strengthen cyclical analysis of the industry, and promote the digitalization.

Ms Zhang Jieshu introduced SISI's development history and scientific research achievements. She said that SISI would continue to track new concepts, new technologies, new trends and new systems in the development of the global shipping industry, hoping that both parties would further strengthen the integration of production and research and facilitate the sharing of resources.
