Developed and operated by BRITC ETRADE SOLUTION COMPANY LIMITED (referred to as “BRITC”), a subsidiary of CMES Shipping, the BRITC eBL Platform (Belt Road Intelligent Trade & Transportation Chain Electronic Bill of Lading Platform) has successfully passed the 11th batch of “Trusted Blockchain Assessment and Testing” conducted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). It is the first blockchain electronic document application system to receive this certification.

As an innovative solution in international shipping trade, the electronic bill of lading involves multiple parties across the industry chain. The security and credibility of the electronic bill of lading system are crucial for its widespread adoption. The BRITC eBL Platform uses internationally recognized blockchain solutions to ensure the security, uniqueness, controllability and integrity of electronic bills of lading. The “Trusted Blockchain Electronic Document Testing” includes 8 modules and 26 testing items, covering blockchain technology, platform and data management, and application effectiveness. The platform meets CAICT’s evaluation requirements, indicating authoritative certification in technical reliability, functionality and security. This achievement marks a new milestone for BRITC in advancing the digitalization of international shipping trade documents.

The BRITC eBL Platform is a blockchain-based system for the digital circulation and management of bills of lading. It provides full lifecycle operation and management functions and supports digital trade document submission and settlement, electronic insurance policies and guarantees, and electronic document exchanges through ecosystem expansion. This platform offers specialized digital services to international shipping trade partners, simplifies traditional trade processes and enhances industry chain efficiency. Since its commercial launch in the second half of 2024, the platform has facilitated contracts with multiple cargo owner enterprises, enabling the efficient and safe delivery of over 800 Chinese export vehicles.
