NEW ARGOSY is the second in the series of four 115,000-ton crude oil tankers under construction by CMES and Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry through cooperation. It is a traditionally fueled vessel, approximately 243 meters long and 44 meters wide, capable of transporting approximately 800,000 barrels of crude oil. Positioned as a next-generation eco-friendly Aframax crude oil tanker, NEW ARGOSY is equipped with advanced features such as a skeg, course stabilizers, pre-swirl vanes, vortex fins, and an open-loop scrubber system. These innovations enhance navigational safety and operational efficiency. The tanker's main engine and generators employ high-pressure selective catalytic reduction (HPSCR) and low-pressure selective catalytic reduction (LPSCR) systems, respectively, complying with Tier III emissions standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). With superior handling, economic performance, and energy-saving performance compared to those of its kind, NEW ARGOSY boasts enhanced market competitiveness. The tanker is classed under the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and sails under the Liberian flag.
